Volume Two - Happy Valley-Goose Bay

In 2018 my family set out on an adventure to traverse the Canadian province of Labrador via the Trans-Labrador Highway. On this trip, we stayed the night in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, which is located at the far eastern end of Route 500. While we were there I wandered the streets of the town and found the low and symmetrical buildings interesting. This zine highlights a few of those buildings and gives a quick glimpse into the commercial buildings of a town that is remote by nearly all metrics. The Trans-Labrador Highway was the main goal in what was a six-province road trip that lasted two weeks and covered over 9,300 miles. I hope you enjoy this short typology of the buildings in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
