Volume Five - San Francisco

I have been able to visit San Francisco many times over the years. I first visited with my family when I was in high school and then a couple of times in college. When I began working, I had the opportunity to visit San Francisco and other cities in the Bay Area every couple of years. I have become familiar with the city and whenever I visit I try to schedule a day where I can explore the city on foot and take photographs. This zine is from my most recent visit a few years ago. I didn’t have a strong plan for where I wanted to walk, but ended up wandering many of the touristy spots to see how they had changed since I had last visited them over a decade ago. I hiked up Russian Hill, walked through Fisherman’s Wharf, up to Coit Tower, and finally finished my day in Chinatown. I hope you enjoy the photos that I made along the way.

Each photograph was taken on a Fujifilm TX-1 panoramic camera (Fuji version of the Hasselblad Xpan).
